A Cats Domain offers this beautiful, well built, single wall mounted unfinished cat step for that purpose. It is attached to the wall and can be used as a single element or in a series of steps leading to a higher plateau for your feline friend. PRODUCT INFORMATION: This wall mounted unfinished cat step is part of a strikingly beautiful, uniquely designed, modular system. All component connection and mounting hardware along with complete installation instructions are included. METHODS of CONSTRUCTION: All of our cat furniture is manufactured using the highest quality Baltic Birch plywood available and water resistant glue. NOTE: We do not use unsightly metal shelf brackets to mount our components. FINISH PROCESS All of our cat furniture comes unfinished for a basic cost. If desired, for an additional fee we can tint the product with a variety of translucent vivid color dyes, (see all of the available vivid color selections). After applying the dye, or if a natural finish is desired the surface is sprayed with an environmentally friendly, water based, clear coat finish. This process results in a smooth surface and the beautiful wood grain remains visible. Another finish option available is the application of a simi or non translucent stain and a clear coat finish. This process also results in a smooth surface but the wood grain is somewhat or entirely obscured. We also offers custom highlighting on the edge and/or surfaces in the way of dyes, stains and/or shou sugi ban.

Buyer Guide For Cat Stairs & Steps

- Consider the length/depth as well to make sure it will fit in the intended location
- Make sure the steps have a reasonable height for your cat to comfortably step up
Materials
- Look for sturdy, non-slip materials like wood, metal, or heavy-duty plastic
- Carpeted steps can provide traction but be aware of potential scratching
- Avoid lightweight materials that could slide or tip over easily
Step Depth
- Steps should be deep enough (around 8-10 inches) for your cat’s entire paw to fit
- Shallow steps can cause your cat to miss steps or not feel stable
Extra Features
- Built-in scratching pads/posts can encourage use
- Look for stairs with high sides to make cats feel secure
- Some have storage space underneath for toys/supplies
Portability
- Stairs that fold or have removable steps allow you to move them easily

How to use Cat Stairs & Steps
Cat stairs and steps can provide easier access for your feline friend to get up to higher surfaces like beds, couches, and windowsills. Here are some tips for using cat stairs and steps successfully:Start Slowly
Don’t expect your cat to start using the stairs right away. Place them near a surface your cat frequently tries to jump onto. You may need to coax your cat up the stairs with treats or toys at first until they get comfortable.
Use Positive Reinforcement
Whenever your cat uses the stairs, give them praise, pets, and treats. This will reinforce that using the stairs leads to rewards.
Place Strategically
Position the cat stairs or steps in a location your cat wants to access, like next to a bed or windowsill they like to look out of. Make sure there is a clear path to the stairs.
Secure Stairs
Some cat stairs have non-slip bottoms, but you may want to secure stairs to the floor or against a wall if your cat likes to jump on them aggressively. This prevents tipping.
Consider Size
Make sure to get stairs sized appropriately for your cat. Kittens and smaller cats may need stairs with lower rises between steps compared to larger cats.
With patience and rewards, most cats will learn to use cat stairs and steps to safely access their favorite elevated hangout spots around the home.
How to maintain Cat Stairs & Steps
Cat stairs and steps can make it easier for your feline friend to access higher areas like beds, couches, and windowsills. However, it’s important to keep these pet stairs clean and in good condition for your cat’s safety and hygiene. Here are some tips for maintaining cat stairs and steps:Clean Regularly
Cat stairs can accumulate dirt, hair, and litter particles over time. Use a handheld vacuum or lint roller to remove debris from the steps and surrounding area weekly. You can also wipe down the stairs with a damp cloth and pet-safe cleaner monthly.
Check for Damage
Inspect the stairs periodically for any cracks, loose parts, or instability. Worn carpet tread could cause your cat to slip. Replace worn or damaged components right away.
Use Non-Slip Surfaces
Cats have a lighter step than dogs or humans. Make sure the stair treads have some texture or non-slip surface to provide traction. You can add non-slip stair treads or grip tape if needed.
Secure the Stairs
Depending on the type of pet stairs, make sure they are properly secured and stable before your cat uses them. Follow assembly instructions carefully and avoid placing them on slippery floors.
Proper Placement
Position the cat stairs in an optimal spot that allows easy access to higher areas your cat frequents. But also ensure there is enough clearance for your cat to climb up and down safely.
By following these simple maintenance tips, you can help keep your cat’s stairs clean, safe, and sturdy for years of hassle-free use.
